Tajikistan Cultural Week running in Iran

Three Iranian cities of Shiraz, Tehran, and Tabriz have been playing host to Tajikistan Cultural Week.

Cultural Days of the Republic of Tajikistan is organized by Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Tajikistan Embassy in Iran, and Iran’s Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

This cultural event includes different artistic performances such as drama groups, music groups, poetry readings by Tajik poets, and an exhibition of paintings, photographs, handicrafts, and national costumes of Tajikistan.

The event aims to boost cultural ties of the two countries in the presence of culture ministers of the two countries.

Holding of Tajikistan Culture Week was proposed by the Tajik Ambassador to Tehran, Nezamoddin Zahedi, as he met with the Head of Iran's Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations, Mohammad-Mahdi Imanipour.

Davlatzoda Zulfiya Davlat, the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan who has traveled to Tehran to participate in the opening ceremony, had also a meeting on Monday with Imanipour.

During the meeting, the two sides underlined the many capacities Iran and Tajikistan have to improve cultural relations.

The event was kicked off on October 01 and will run through October 08, 2022.
